Building on our heritage since 1884, we continue to develop and improve. What started as an idea on a kitchen table in Bergen, Norway, is now a group of companies within deep sea, short sea, ship management, and energy investments.

Deep Sea Open Hatch

Our Open Hatch segment is the traditional core of the company, and our primary ship-owning operation.

Ship Management

Ship management of our ships is handled by Grieg Star, managing the ship’s daily operations and maintenance, ensuring they perform safely and efficiently.

Short Sea Multi Purpose Vessels

Our short-sea investments are done through our joint venture with Peak CSL Group, Skarv Shipping. Their vessels will mainly sail short-sea in Europe.

Energy Investments

We believe the maritime industry will increasingly demand green fuels, such as green hydrogen and ammonia. Our energy investments target companies and projects in the entire supply chain, from production to the end user.

Open Hatch Commercial Operations

The commercial operation of our Open Hatch fleet is handled by G2 Ocean, a partnership between Gearbulk and Grieg Maritime Group. Since its launch in 2017, G2 Ocean has grown into the largest ship operator in the open-hatch segment worldwide.
